If I add the web site to my Home Screen on my iPhone, I’m unable to log in within it due to the magic link approach. The link when tapped opens in the full Mobile Safari browser, not the Home Screen instance, and there’s no way to paste a code or something to proceed within the dedicated browser instance.
I also tried logging in via Google, which would stay in the browser instance, but that errors out after logging in with:
The error details link to Submit for brand verification | Authorization | Google for Developers.
Hello, could you try the google login route again? I just tested in two different devices and found no issue, it may have been a momentary problem. I have not tested the magic link approach on an iPhone because I dont own one, but on android you can login via the regular browser and then when you open it from the home screen app it would be logged in since the home screen app shares the same data as the regular browser. Overall I would recommend the gmail route since its more straightforward, if you do use gmail please send your email address to theaugur88@gmail.com so I can activate that email on the server for you.
Same error: fqzmaodksjiayqmhudvl.supabase.co has not completed the Google verification process. The app is currently being tested, and can only be accessed by developer-approved testers.
It looks like there’s a process needed to make the app generally available for Google OAuth. And they expect test and prod to have separate app URLs.
My Google account is the same email as my Itch and magic link login, so I thought they’d resolve to the same account. I’ll send an email.
On iOS, in-app browsers (and maybe home screen apps? I hardly use those) used to all share the same browsing context, but they’ve been entirely isolated for years now. Hence the need to be able to complete login within the home screen app.
Apologies, I generalized on the in-app browser front... On Android it is shared so I assumed it would be the same for iOS. I think that if you do not want to use it on your browser the only solution would be the gmail login in the home screen app. I replied to that specific part via email since it involves your email address. Thanks and apologies for the inconveniences.
Thanks! This is resolved.
For anyone who runs into this in future, Google login worked fine with an @gmail.com account. The error seems to somehow have happened because I was using a Google account created as part of “Google Apps for Your Domain”. Google’s error was entirely misleading on this front, so, go figure.
TL;DR: Don’t use an organization/business Google account, just a regular Google one.
I had a look to firm up my memory’s hazy timeline. Cookie sharing started with iOS 9 in September 2015, and ended with iOS 11 in September 2017, as discussed in iOS 11 Safari View Controller cookie passthrough and the future of mobile web - Branch. It was a Big Deal at the time, but 6 years and change later, it’s just how things are.
Hello. The web app doesn't link to my itch.io account and they have the same email.
I cannot find how to download it to my PC.
Hello, I contacted you via discord DM.
Any chance this is going to be updated for Ironsworn: Starforged?
I am working on a sci-fi expansion, check out the trailer:
Purchased my copy of this through drivethru dot website. How find I can't verify my purchase on the web app.
through drive thru I have to verify manually. Send me your purchase information (order number) and the email address you used to create the account on The Augur to theaugur88@gmail.com
Congrats on this release, can't wait to give it a go! When I log in, the login screen never goes away, but I see the log out option appear. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!
I have the same problem, I posted in the community to see if somebody could provide an answer.
Just so anyone who reads this knows, this issue was fixed for this user by reloading the page on the browser.
Yes, this fixed the problem. Thank you for the suggestion.
Hello, refresh the page in your browser (do it twice, this forces the app to update) and it should fix the issue. Please let me know if it doesn't.
This happened when you did manual validation correct ? (there is an auto validation that tries to match your augur account email with your itch purchase, but only works if the emails are the same on both sites).
correct I’m using the same email address. I tried to create a new account but it did recognize my email so I did a password recovery. When I double refresh it still just loads the same screen.
this is happening on my iPhone 11 Pro, my old old iPad, and my MacBook Pro.
Hello, create the account again I deleted the old one.. Please let me know if it works now (Also curious how it works on your devices, doubt it will work on the old ipad as mine did not work).
That got it working, thank you! So far so good on the MacBook pro with safari. On my iPhone when dragging to move or resize the map around, it frequently crashes and reloads the site. Other than that seems to be working great! Haven't tried it on the old iPad yet haha
